On Monday, September 11, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital (BWFH) donors and business partners celebrated the 25th anniversary of the BWFH Golf Tournament at Dedham Country and Polo Club. More than 120 golfers and dedicated supporters helped raise $242,000 to benefit the healing environment of patient and family spaces at BWFH.
The milestone year was also celebrated by hosting the first-ever BWFH Golf Ball Drop. Hundreds of numbered golf balls were dropped by helicopter on the first tee, and the winner was determined by the ball landing closest to the flag. The lucky winner, Rawlins Roopcharan, received the grand prize of an all-inclusive, seven-night stay for two in tropical Barbados.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better turnout to celebrate the 25th year of our tournament,” said BWFH President Michael Gustafson, MD. “It’s so inspiring to see the mix of dedicated donors, hospital staff, and business partners together to help us provide the highest quality service to everyone that comes to us for care.”
