Celebrating Mary Ann Tynan

Mary Ann TynanMary Ann Tynan (1945-2013) was a pioneering leader, tireless advocate, and cherished friend. As a devoted supporter of Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital (BWFH), she served in a variety of capacities that brought about lasting change for our patients and their families.

For many years, Mary Ann served as Board Chair at BWFH and Vice Chair of Brigham and Women’s Healthcare (BWHC). She was also one of the first members of the Women’s Health Leadership Council and an active member on the BWH Care Improvement Council and the BWHC Compliance Committee. Her passion for advancing the quality and safety of services, as well as her steadfast commitment to improving women’s health, will be sorely missed.

To honor Mary Ann’s legacy and her innumerable contributions to the Brigham family, we invite her family and friends to make a gift in her name to support and advance the work of Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital.

Gifts can also be made to establish the Mary Ann Tynan Fellowship in Women’s Health.
