The Impact of Your Generosity
A gift to the Brigham Fund helps us deliver on the wide-ranging needs of the community we serve. Whether it is pushing the boundaries of medicine, improving access to care, or building a workforce that reflects the diversity of our patients, none of it would be possible without your generosity. Below are just three examples of your impact across the Brigham.
A Breakthrough in the Fight Against Alzheimer’s

At the Brigham, innovative research is central to providing exceptional care. Our scientists are leading the world’s first human trial of a nasal vaccine for Alzheimer’s disease, the culmination of nearly 20 years of research. The early-stage trial will test the safety and efficacy of this vaccine designed to prevent Alzheimer’s and slow disease progression. This remarkable milestone could change the lives of more than 6 million people living with Alzheimer’s today.
OB-GYN Ranks First in Nation

At a time when access to reproductive care is being challenged across the country, we are proud that the Brigham’s Obstetrics and Gynecology specialty has been named the best in the nation in 2022 by U.S. News & World Report. This ranking is a result of our innovative research and interdisciplinary collaboration and reflects our commitment to ensuring high-quality, comprehensive, and equitable patient-focused care through all stages of life.
Fostering a Diverse Community for Learning and Care

This year’s incoming class of Brigham residents—more than 230 aspiring physicians—is one of the most racially diverse groups in the hospital’s history, with one in four first-year residents identifying as historically underrepresented in medicine (UIM). In addition, five rising stars in academic medicine and research—the program’s largest-ever number of awardees—were named the winners of the 2022 Minority Faculty Career Development Awards, which support and retain UIM trainees and junior faculty at the Brigham.
