The Emergency Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital cares for approximately 115,000 patients every year. Building on our tradition of excellence and leadership, the Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Emergency Department (ED) at 75 Francis Street—which alone serves 84,000 patients annually—is currently undergoing a major renovation and expansion project that will double the size of the ED to nearly 40,000 square feet. The new ED will also usher in innovative approaches for providing care to some of our most medically complex patients, including individuals with cancer and those requiring psychiatric care.
With additional funding for research and programs, we can continue to enhance the treatment, recovery, and outcomes of our patients and establish collaborative projects with specialists throughout Boston and around the world.
