On Celebrity Jeopardy! on Tuesday, May 12, entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary, “Mr. Wonderful” of television’s hit show “Shark Tank,” took on Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and retired astronaut Mark Kelly.
Each celebrity on the show played for the chance to win for the charity of their choice. O’Leary chose the Martin P. Solomon Medical Education Scholars Program of Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). The Solomon Scholars program provides vital seed funding to talented internal medical residents whose research projects are paving the way to better healthcare and healthier communities worldwide.
The results are in, and O'Leary won $10,000 for the program!
A part-time resident of Boston, O’Leary was last at BWH in June, 2014, when he hosted the hospital’s own Shark Tank event, where researchers pitched ideas to a panel of “sharks” in competition for four $50,000 grants to advance their research projects.
