The 2017 BWH Golf Classic took place Monday, June 19, at The Kittansett Club on Cape Cod Bay. Even though the weather was less than perfect, the fog and wind couldn’t prevent the Brigham spirit from shining through. “It was a great day on a beautiful course for a remarkable hospital. It doesn’t get much better than this,” said tournament committee member Carmine Martignetti.
More than 100 golfers turned out to play, along with a cadre of supporters, to raise more than $300,000 in support of life-giving breakthroughs at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. All proceeds will be allocated to the Brigham Fund, a valuable and flexible resource used to support areas of our hospital where the need is greatest.
“The dedication of the golfers and Brigham supporters who turn out year after year for the tournament is so impressive,” said committee member Steve Gormley. “It’s a testament to the incredible research and life-changing care the Brigham provides.”
