Stepping Strong for Trauma Innovation

Run Boston with purpose with the 2018 Stepping Strong Marathon Team, and help us mark the fifth anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings.

One hundred percent of funds raised will benefit The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation at BWH. Established by the Reny family in honor of the BWH medical team that saved the life and limbs of their daughter, Gillian, who was critically injured in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, the center aims to realize the full potential of interdisciplinary innovation to transform trauma research and care for civilian and military heroes who suffer the devastation of traumatic injuries and events.

Since 1998, Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) has raised more than $9.65 million through its marathon program—funds that have made a profound difference in the lives of patients and families here in Boston and around the world. This year, we aim to build on this tradition by raising $1.15 million, our most ambitious goal in our 20-year history.

Join us! Together, we will help raise critical funds for the Stepping Strong Center and honor the Boston Strong spirit that continues to define our city.
