The center strives to ignite change in women’s health by catalyzing research, bolstering knowledge, and transforming education for the next generation of leaders in medicine. On May 7, 2021, The Women’s Health Luncheon Reimagined raised $574,503 to support women’s health research. During the event $115,543 was pledged to fund two Connors Center IGNITE Awards, which support new, innovative efforts to advance our understanding of female-specific and sex-differentiated effects in the development of novel therapeutics. These awards provide critical seed funding to test early high-risk, high-reward concepts that do not receive funding from traditional sources such as the National Institutes of Health. This year’s luncheon brought the cumulative five-year giving total to $2.6 million. Save the date: Next year’s luncheon is Friday, May 6, 2022. Mark it on your calendar now!
