As we apply advances in genomic technology and knowledge to skull base tumors, philanthropy is essential to unraveling the complexities behind these conditions.

WENYA LINDA BI, MD, PHD Department of Neurosurgery

Tumors that develop at the base of the skull, like meningiomas, are traditionally treated surgically; however, for patients with aggressive subtypes, surgery may not be effective. Neurosurgeon Wenya Linda Bi, MD, PhD, is combating these tumors by deciphering their genomic and immunologic environments to create novel treatment strategies and ultimately improve therapeutic options for patients.
