Tumors that develop at the base of the skull, like meningiomas, are traditionally treated surgically; however, for patients with aggressive subtypes, surgery may not be effective. Neurosurgeon Wenya Linda Bi, MD, PhD, is combating these tumors by deciphering their genomic and immunologic environments to create novel treatment strategies and ultimately improve therapeutic options for patients.
