The Stork Fund

Welcoming almost 8,000 babies per year, we are the birthing destination for Boston-area families and even parents from around the country and beyond. Whether you just welcomed the newest addition to your family, or you’re simply an advocate of ensuring healthy babies and moms, please consider donating to The Stork Fund at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
As a nonprofit hospital we host many programs that wouldn’t exist without support from people like you. You can give directly to many different individual funds, programs and areas listed on this page that The Stork Fund supports. Your gift will advance important projects in reproductive, neonatal and maternal health and science so that we can continue to provide the world-class care that new babies and their moms deserve.

Beating the Odds in the NICU
For babies staying in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, beating the odds is a matter of life and death. The Schumacher family is just one of hundreds of families each year who depend on us to give preemies a fighting chance, in one of the best NICUs in the country. The medical staff in the NICU understand the importance of both compassion and communication with parents of these delicate infants. “We remember it’s their children first, our patients second,” explains Dr. Robert Insoft, Medical Director of the NICU.
